We set out to
solve a problem.
Urban Grind was born from two personal journeys that converged at exactly the right moment. Marcus came from a world where fitness was treated as a transaction — where generic programs, quick fixes, and sales targets took priority over real, lasting transformation. Marion had stepped away from a high-performing corporate career to pursue entrepreneurship and find herself again — carrying a profound grief after losing her father to a system that managed his symptoms for years without ever healing the root cause.
Together, they saw the same gap. Most wellness solutions were treating effects, not causes. Nobody was educating people on how their own body actually worked. Nobody was addressing the metabolism, the mindset, the habits, and the identity together.
So they built Urban Grind to do exactly that.
What started as a physical space in Chicago grew into a fully virtual coaching community that reaches people anywhere, at any stage of their journey. Going virtual freed Urban Grind to serve people nationally, go deeper with every client, and focus entirely on what they are most passionate about — elevating transformations that last by resolving root causes, not managing symptoms.
